Brief History: In 2006, Carlos and Faiz decided to create a new gyrocopter, on the basis of their various other designs this past decade. They submitted the project to Anton, that agreed to finance this new adventure. Phenix S.L., a Spanish registered company was then built. Its management is an international team, geared towards producing a De la Cierva modern gyrocopter design. From there on, what would become the Phenix gyrocopter evolved from a traditional pusher design, to a central engine with front propeller, then to its present tractor one. The months have passed, mainly in the building first of the plug, then into the molding of the needed negatives, and at last creating the prototype. The prototype Phenix was first shown to public during the Aero 2009 exhibition in Friedrichshafen, Germany. It received a lot of favourable comments, especially from tall pilots that appreciate its roomy cockpit.
